This was such a refreshing read. I love how PO’ET UP Wednesday continues to highlight voices that carry both power and vulnerability. Featuring talents like Fiji Flow, Debbie Alamrew, Ayanna Florence, and Black Chakra (what a Name, or Attribute I should say) shows a true commitment to celebrating diversity in poetry and the richness of storytelling through spoken word. The article really captured the energy of the event — not just as a performance space, but as a cultural experience where art, rhythm, and community come together. It left me feeling like I was watching a scene from "LOVE JONES," and inspired and eager to attend one of these gatherings in person.
When I say this so dope!! I see real talent on here. One time for the spoken word people🫰🏾🫰🏾
